The Story Of Us
For Chef Kevin, a love of food started long before it became a career. Growing up in a close-knit Polish family, some of his favorite memories were made around the table and in the kitchen. Large family meals were a regular occurrence, and Kevin could often be found alongside his grandmother, mom, and aunts, helping prepare whatever was being served.
That early love of cooking eventually led him to Schoolcraft College’s culinary program in Livonia, Michigan, where he trained under some of the nation’s most respected chefs. His career has since taken him from Michigan to Los Angeles and eventually back to Northeast Ohio. Along the way, he served as Head Chef of a Los Angeles restaurant recognized by Zagat as one of the city’s best new restaurants and continued building his culinary career in Cleveland, Vermilion, and Elyria.
Lindsay’s path into hospitality started close to home in Amherst, Ohio. Her first job was waitressing in high school, and she continued working in restaurants to help pay her way through Bowling Green State University. After earning her degree in Exercise Physiology and starting her own personal training business, she eventually moved to South Florida.
While growing her training business there, Lindsay returned to the restaurant industry and began working at one of Miami Beach’s top restaurants. What started as a way to supplement her income quickly turned into a career opportunity when she was offered a position on the restaurant’s management team. There, she gained invaluable experience overseeing service and catering teams for events ranging from intimate gatherings of 50 to large-scale events of 500 guests.
Eventually, life brought both of them back to Northeast Ohio and in 2009 a blind date brought them together.
Lindsay’s best friend happened to work with Kevin at the Elyria Country Club, where he had recently become Executive Chef. Lindsay had just returned home from Florida. The two connected immediately, discovering that among the many things they had in common, a shared love of the restaurant and hospitality industry was one of them.
It didn’t take long for that shared passion to turn into a dream. Only a handful of dates in, Kevin and Lindsay were already talking about someday owning a business together.
Over the years, that dream took shape little by little. Their combined experience; Kevin in the kitchen and Lindsay in hospitality, service, and event operations, created a natural partnership. In 2020, they took the leap and became managing members of their own catering business.
Today, Harvest Events Ohio brings those two worlds together: thoughtfully prepared food and experienced, personal service. Whether they're catering an intimate gathering, a wedding, or a special celebration, Kevin and Lindsay believe the best events are about more than what's on the plate. They're about bringing people together, creating memories, and making sure the hosts can actually enjoy the occasion they've worked so hard to plan.
Kevin and Lindsay live in Henrietta Township with their two children, Layla and Hunter, and are proud to serve the Northeast Ohio communities they call home.
